Dicken's complex, delightful, steadfast characters are never better than in this touching semi autobiographical work. i laughed outloud frequently and was solemn and sometimes tearful, especially during mr peggotty's glorious appearances. there has never, in my umble opinion, been a more loathsome villain than the damp, writhing uriah heep. i listened to the free narration and it was well worth the time. wonderful!
